Blue Water High

About BWH

Blue Water High is ABC TV's award-winning teeen drama. Beautiful beaches, crystal clear water, long sunny days...it's the perfect place to be a teenager. Eka Darville joins the Series 3 cast as Adam Bridge, a new teenager who hopes to launch his surfing career as he learns to cope with new friends, fears, and the skill to surf.

Blue Water High is an average school with the primary focus on the surf academic program. Solar Blue, an international sportswear company, has established an academy attached to the school for surfing. At the end of every year, one boy and one girl will get the qualification to surf the pro-circuit and a one-year scholarship contract.

Eka in BWH

Having grown up in Cawarra Bay on the south coast of New South Wales, Adam is a self-taught surfer who got into the sport when he was looking for something 'fun' to do on weekends. In no time at all he became totally hooked and then his natural athletic ability quickly made him stand out from the crowd - his surfing displaying an easy style and grace.

Not particulary competitive by nature, Adam is a very easygoing, laid back of boy who goes with the flow. He doesn't demand anything from anyone and is generatlly very socialable and gregarious. It would be a mistake though to assume that this good humour makes him a walkover. Adam's more than capable of winding up - especially if he sees what he perceives to be an injustice committed. Then watch out - because he doesn't hold back.

In truth, Adam's not quite sure what he's doing at Solar Blue. Getting on the pro-tour hasn't ever figured on his radar until now and he has yet to see if it's what he really wants to do. But now that he's here he'll give it his bes tshot and see what happens. And given his natural prowess that could mean a few people might be in for a surprise - including Adam himself!
